It’s not every day that I have a family of young ladies in my studio and it’s definitely a treat to spend time with this fun loving crew. I haven’t laughed this much during a session in a long, long time. In fact I was laughing so much that I lamented that my cheeks hurt by the time we were done.
When Mom approached me with a fabulous idea and a little inspiration she found on Pintrest I knew we were going to have a fun session.
For this session the family opted to include our new resident Make-up Artist, Elizabeth Nagle (more on her later, in our new digital magazine due at the end of the month!) . Elizabeth helped polish everyone to make them camera ready but… we still needed to achieve that goofy, fun photobooth feeling. So, we pulled out all the fun props we could find in the studio and piled them up in the dressing room. The goal was to create a series of images that can later be cropped into square sized and printed in an oversized strip creating a series of four images for each family member.
As it turns out, planning ans even photographing the session turned out to be the easy part. The tough part was trying to narrow down all the totally fun images we made! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
While the finished product isn’t yet complete, we do have a few mock-up designs that we’re playing with. Check out the color version of our studio “photobooth”:
