Frequently Asked Questions

When should we schedule our session?

During high demand times (September to December) we can often end up with reservations a year in advance, generally you will have a good selection of dates available if you reserve your appointment 1-2 months in advance however.

How often should we schedule a session?

While we would love to see you in the studio several times every year, we know this is not practical for most families.  Browse our handy guide for more information on how often and at what childhood milestones, you should book a session with your favorite photographer.

How do I know which photographer I will be working with?

Before your session, we work with you to help you decide which of our photographer’s style suits your family best!

Would you photograph our family pet as well?

Yes!  Our pets are family too and of course we’d love to include your four-legged buddy.  Please talk to us in advance so we know what to expect. (We sometimes have our four-legged family members at the studio, so this will help us plan accordingly!)

I’m allergic to (dogs, peanuts, dairy, bleach etc)

Please let us know when you schedule your session and we’ll do our best to accommodate!  We’re happy to do a deep cleaning with appropriate products and HEPA filters if it will help make your session more comfortable. We’ll remind you in your Questionnaire too!

Is your studio safe for babies and children?

We pay very close attention to safety in the studio. Our artists have been specifically trained in safe newborn posing techniques, and we have a several safety features and specialized equipment, like our sturdy riser, to contribute to little one’s safety. Whenever possible our lights are up off the floor, or weighted down to prevent tipping.  We use only cool-to-the-touch lighting equipment to prevent accidental burns from curious fingers. We also maintain a close relationship with our local police, fire and first-responders (in fact, you might see one drop in for coffee some time, they know where to find some good stuff!)

When do I pay the Session Reservation Fee?

Your Session Reservation Fee is due when you book your session. This reserves your appointment just for you and your family.

What happens if our photographer is sick?

All our photographers remain current with their vaccinations to protect our youngest clients. In the rare cases when your photographer is ill, we will call you immediately to reschedule.
